Honor and memorial trees are another special way to pay tribute to someone while preserving a treasured part of America’s heritage. With a gift of $1,000 or more, you may personally select and name an individual redwood tree in the League’s honor grove in Wilder Ranch State Park, Butano State Park, Humboldt Redwoods State Park or Portola Redwoods State Park. Once the tree is dedicated, we will send you a certificate and an updated map including the name of the tree and its location.

We cannot place signs in the forests showing the names of the trees because that would detract from the areas’ serenity and beauty. Prices for the naming opportunities in all parks are based on the diameter of the tree at breast height and range from $1,000 to $10,000.
