Redwood ForestPlant a Redwood Seedling

Sweaters fade, ties go out of style, electronic gadgets become obsolete, but redwood trees last for centuries. Give a gift that gives back to the environment for years to come.

For a donation of $50 or more to Save-the-Redwoods League, gift-givers can have a redwood seedling planted in honor of a loved one in a California state park. Save-the-Redwoods League delivers a commemorative card and photograph of an ancient redwood forest to the recipient to showcase the gift. All dedicated trees support redwood reforestation efforts in California.

The League collaborates with the California State Parks to cultivate and plant the redwood seedlings. The saplings are then returned to the same forest from which the seeds originated.

Place an order online (select “To plant a redwood seedling” from the Honor/Memorial Gift dropdown), or call the Save-the-Redwoods League Membership Department at (888) 836-0005.

Redwood seedlings may be purchased and planted in honor of a loved one or organization year-round. Each year, California State Parks chooses where seedlings will be planted according to reforestation needs. Save-the-Redwoods League can neither specify where your seedling will be planted, nor tell you where it has been planted.

Dedicate a Tree

If you would rather honor a loved one with a specific tree that you can select and visit over time, the League has Honor Tree groves in a number of redwood parks. Honor Trees are available for dedication with gifts of $1,000 to $10,000. For more information, call (888) 836-0005, extension 309.
