DID YOU KNOW?
A conservation easement is a voluntary agreement between a landowner and a land trust that permanently limits uses of the land in order to protect its conservation values.
Take a tour of the Ridgewood Ranch Redwood Grove

In 2005, Save-the-Redwoods League partnered with Mendocino Land Trust to secure a conservation easement to protect this area that contains some of the few remaining ancient redwoods in Mendocino County.

Join Mendocino Land Trust’s James Bernard and Roger Sternberg at 9:00 a.m. at the Golden Rule Church Association Dining Hall for cookies and coffee, then head out as a group to the Redwood Groves, conserved by the Mendocino Land Trust. Visit the two acres of magnificent 800-year old redwoods, and then walk to the 17 acres of mature second-growth redwoods. Ridgewood Ranch is the final resting place of Seabiscuit, the legendary racehorse.

Who:
Mendocino Land Trust has been working in the public interest since 1976 to conserve, in perpetuity, over 9,300 acres of significant lands throughout Mendocino County.
