DID YOU KNOW?
Save-the-Redwoods League acquired the 25,000 acre Mill Creek raising $62 million from private individual donations, major foundation grants, and state agencies.
Roll, Stroll, Picnic & Stargaze!
Enjoy a series of explorations, ranging from educational to extreme at Mill Creek. Hosted by Redwood National Park and California State Parks.

Mill Creek is a milestone in the history of redwood conservation. In 2002, Save-the-Redwoods League purchased and transferred the 25,000-acre Mill Creek redwood forest, to California State Parks, the single largest acquisition in the League’s history. Mill Creek permanently protects one of California’s most prolific wild coho salmon nurseries and supports 23 endangered animal species including the marbled murrelet and the northern spotted owl.

At the intersection of the inland redwood forest and the Pacific Ocean, Mill Creek is known as a "botanical wonderland". A site of astounding and diverse beauty, it contains one of the most diverse array of plants found anywhere in the state.
