Walk through a California redwood grove and you can't help but experience a sense of awe and peace. You can make this experience even more special by dedicating a tree or grove to a loved one or group! Mark important occasions—such as births, weddings, anniversaries or deaths—with these unique, timeless and tangible gifts.
With a gift of $1,000 or more, you may personally select and name an individual redwood tree in one of our honor groves in the following parks:
Once the tree is dedicated, we will send you a certificate and an updated map including the name of the tree and its location.
Naming opportunities in all parks are based on the diameter of the tree at breast height and are available in exchange for contributions ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.

Dedicating a redwood grove through a gift to Save the Redwoods League ensures that the beauty and grandeur of the redwoods will continue to inspire future generations, while naming a special place in the forest where you and your loved ones may savor the trees and the rivers and wildlife that surround them.
Our members have named more than 1,000 honor and memorial groves in California redwood state parks and reserves and Redwood National Park, and more are added each year.
You may personally visit and select from the available groves in 19 redwood parks. Maps with the location of the groves are available, and League staff or park rangers may be available to accompany you on your visit. Those unable to visit the redwoods may ask the League to designate a grove for them.
Donations vary, based on the size and age of the trees, density of forest cover, acreage, accessibility and location. Grove gifts, which begin at $25,000, may be made in a lump sum, over a period of three years, or by bequest or other form of planned gift. In many parks, a sign bearing the name of the honoree may be placed in the grove.
Gifts to dedicate a redwood grove support land acquisition, reforestation, education, redwood research and other programmatic work.
Magnificent redwood groves are available for dedication as a memorial or honor grove all along the north coast of California, from Big Sur to the Oregon border. Some have small creeks winding quietly through the trees. Others have breathtaking views of the Pacific. Many are easily accessible by trail, and others are tucked into the far reaches of the parks.
Many of the well-known redwood state parks (SP), state natural reserves (SNR) and state recreation areas (SRA) offer groves for dedication. Your grove may be established in one of the following sites:
