Damage and safety concerns prompt closures

The series of storms hammering the West Coast in recent days have prompted the closure of redwood parks throughout the range. While heavy wind and rain have certainly reduced interest in outdoor recreation, people’s love of the redwoods runs high, and we want to make sure that everyone stays safe. The following redwood parks were closed as of the morning of January 10, 2023. This is not an exhaustive list. Please check with the park you plan to visit before heading out, and check for road closures because conditions can change without notice.

Is San Vicente Redwoods SP still closed due to storm damage? We are hoping to visit this Friday 4/7/23.
