Video: Fantastic Negrito set to rock Take Me to the Trees Oct. 22

Three-time GRAMMY award winner taking the stage to benefit Montgomery Woods Initiative

Fantastic Negrito is a performer like few others, and we’re thrilled to have him perform at this year’s Take Me to the Trees: A benefit for the Montgomery Woods Initiative.

Buy your tickets to the event now.

Fantastic Negrito burst on the scene in 2015 when he won NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, and would go on to win his first of three GRAMMY awards in 2017 for Best Contemporary Blues Album. He has toured with everyone from Sturgill Simpson to Chris Cornell, collaborated in the studio with the likes of Sting and E-40, launched his own Storefront Records label, and performed at Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, Newport Folk, Bryon Bay Blues, and nearly every other major festival on the map.

His music will get you fired up and on your feet, and he’ll be a terrific addition to an event that will feature the elegant champagne reception, conifer-infused cocktails, food stations of delicious bite-size hors d’oeuvres, and amazing conversations with other redwood fans.

This year’s Take Me to the Trees: A Redwoods Celebration supports the League’s Montgomery Woods Initiative, raising funds to protect Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve by acquiring key properties to expand the park and safeguard critical wildlife corridors, restore the old growth grove of ancient redwoods, and connect people to this hidden gem by improving park infrastructure and enhancing public outreach.
