You can make an important contribution to protecting the redwood forest by dedicating a tree in honor or memory of someone or something you love, or to celebrate life’s special milestones, such as weddings and anniversaries.

Dedicating a Redwood Tree

With a gift of $2,500 to $25,000, you may personally select, dedicate and name an individual redwood tree in one of these three redwood parks:

Maps and directions are available so that you may visit and select your tree in person. Those unable to visit the redwoods may ask the League to designate a tree on your behalf.

Donation amounts are based on the location and diameter of the tree and range from $2,500 to $25,000. Once your full donation is made and the tree is selected, we will finalize the dedication by sending you a certificate and a personalized map including the name of the tree and its location.

Why Dedicate a Redwood Tree?

Gifts to dedicate a redwood tree support our work to protect and restore redwood forestland, study these amazing forests and learn how best to protect them, and inspire and teach new generations of caretakers.

Each tree dedication has a unique story. People often dedicate trees to honor or memorialize a loved one or to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, wedding or other important milestone in someone’s life. Others acknowledge the work of a favorite organization or hero.

Our members have named hundreds of trees in California redwood parks, and more are added each year. Please see the index of Dedicated Trees for a complete list of dedicated redwood trees.
