17 Harpists Playing in the Giant Redwood Forests of the Garberville Area of Northern California

June 26 – July 5, 2016

Bay Area Youth Harp Ensemble (BAYHE) is a group of young harpists playing multicultural music on Celtic-style
folk harps. Directed by well-known Bay Area harpist Diana Stork, the ensemble will head up to Humboldt County from the Bay Area on June 29 – July 5. The harpists will present programs of harp music to raise awareness for saving the ancient redwoods. Performances will be held in many places throughout the Avenue of the Giants — in redwood groves, old lodges, and by campfires. Performances will feature music inspired by nature, with an emphasis on music about trees and forests. The purpose of the tour is to educate the public on how to preserve the remaining ancient and old growth redwoods and raise funds for their conservation — all through the music of the harp.

DONATIONS raised will go to the Humboldt Redwoods Interpretive Association. Please visit them at:
www.humboldtredroods.org to learn more about their efforts to save the redwoods.
