$15

June 14
Co-presented by Save the Redwoods League
Music by DJ Tanoa

Celebrate the incomparable California coast and discover the giant forces that make the golden state like nowhere else in the world. Get an early look at our newest exhibit, Giants of Land and Sea, where you can step inside an immersive Fog Room and welcome the return of the remodeled earthquake simulator. We’re bringing you a night of coastal wonder: Peek behind-the-scenes of the new exhibit with a presentation from Scott Moran, the Academy’s Senior Director of Exhibits, and Emily Burns, Director of Science at Save the Redwoods League, and learn where to experience first-hand the giants featured in the exhibit. Learn more about some of the Golden State’s native flora and fauna. Enjoy one of Classroom Safari’s always-popular live animal programs in the garden—this time featuring an array of California turtles, snakes, and lizards, plus baby opossums! Get help with your future plant IDs with Sutro Stewards and create California-inspired linoleum block prints, all while grooving to a vintage California surf-themed set by DJ Tanoa.
