Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods: The Wonders of the East Austin Creek for Intrepid Hikers

Instructor(s): Dr. Laura Morgan (author of Three Jewels: A Field Guide to Three West Sonoma County Trail Systems)
Laura Morgan, floral enthusiast, will highlight the beauty of meandering Gilliam Creek Trail, and provide opportunities to observe and appreciate abundant flowering plants that brighten Austin Creek SRA. This carefully guided hike traverses over 2000 feet of elevation change on 7 miles of rough trail, to the creek and surrounding forest primeval. Plan to carry fluids and a picnic lunch. NOTE: This is a moderate to strenuous hike. Please plan accordingly.
