2018 Free Second Saturdays at Redwood State Parks
On Free Second Saturdays at Redwoods State Parks, more than 40 redwood state parks will offer free vehicle day-use passes.

Thanks to the generous support of Oracle and members of Save the Redwoods League, more than 16,800 free vehicle day-use passes will be available to visitors in 2018. Each pass is for use at one participating state park on one second Saturday in 2018.

How do I get a day-use parking pass?
To get your pass, enter your information on the registration form above or on Eventbrite. You will receive an email with a link to your downloadable day-use parking pass immediately.

How do I use my pass?
Pass must be printed; passes displayed on smartphones or other devices will not be accepted. Present printed pass to staff at the park. If the park is unstaffed, display the pass on your windshield or in the designated area as indicated at the park.

Does my day-use parking pass guarantee parking?
No, parking is first-come first-served, and parking capacity is limited at many parks. If a park reaches parking capacity, the park may limit vehicle entry until spaces become available. Please obey parking regulations.

How many people can I bring?
The free pass is valid for your vehicle, including its passengers.

Can I download a day-use parking pass for more than one park?
No, you may only download a pass for one park. Passes are limited and we want as many people as possible to enjoy a state park!

Does everyone get free parking?
No. To get free parking, you must present a day-use parking pass. Your pass must be printed – passes displayed on smartphones or other devices will not be accepted.

Can I bring my dog?
In general, dogs are permitted in most California state parks (with the exception of most state beaches) but must be on a leash not exceeding six feet in length at all times. Dogs are only allowed in the developed areas of parks; they are not allowed in park buildings or trails (unless the trail is designated as such). It’s always a good idea to call ahead to see if dogs are allowed on the trails in the state park you wish to visit. Please remember that violations of these rules may lead to a costly citation. Remember too that you are financially responsible for injuries or damage caused by your dog. To ensure everyone’s visits to California state parks are pleasant, please do not leave your pet unattended, and remember to clean up after them. See more information about visiting with your dog.

Are all California state parks participating? What about national, regional and local parks?
No. Only the redwood state parks listed at National, regional and local parks are not included in this offer (example: Muir Woods, Yosemite National Park). Passes are available based on availability.

How is Free Second Saturdays at Redwood State Parks funded?
Free Second Saturdays at Redwood State Parks is generously supported by Oracle and the members of Save the Redwoods League.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?
Individual parks may need to close in the event of severe weather conditions. Please check for information about park closures.

If I am unable to attend, how do I cancel my order?
If you are unable to attend, please cancel your reservation so that others may register for a free pass. Log in to your Eventbrite account to cancel or send a cancellation request through your order confirmation.

Where can I get driving directions and more information about visiting the park?
