Save the Redwoods League
Dear Redwoods Supporter,
redwood hike series 2021 schedule
Save the Redwoods League welcomes members of the Redwood Leadership Circle, Canopy Club and Redwood Legacy Circle back into the redwood forest in 2021.

In thanks for your generosity, we invite you to join us for a series of self-guided hikes through some of our favorite redwood parks with redwoods experts on hand.

We look forward to a redwood adventure with you. Please contact Jackie Perkins at JPerkins@savetheredwoods.org or (925) 915-1332 for more information or to make your reservation.

2021 Schedule of Hikes

Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 22: Peter’s Creek
Peter’s Creek in Portola Redwoods State Park is one of the most beautiful old-growth redwood forests still standing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Save the Redwoods League’s expanded protection of Peter’s Creek in 2014 provides special access to this unique forest.

Friday, June 11: Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park
Visit the Old-Growth Redwood Heritage Viewing Deck and Interpretive Exhibit, a viewing platform that allows visitors to view a massive redwood footprint among the sea of second-growth redwoods.

Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 31: Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve
Step into the majesty of Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve, a lush oasis of old-growth redwoods in Mendocino County protected and stewarded by Save the Redwoods League.

Friday, August 13 and Saturday, August 14: Alder Creek
Benefit for Canopy Club members only.
Comparable in size and significance to the legendary Mariposa Grove in Yosemite National Park, Alder Creek boasts more than 480 ancient giant sequoia trees over 6 feet in diameter and sweeping views of the southern Sierra Nevada. Save the Redwoods League protected Alder Creek grove in 2019.

Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2: Grove of Titans, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park
Be among the first to experience a new trail into this extraordinary grove that contains some of the largest and oldest coast redwoods on earth. California State Parks, Save the Redwoods League, National Park Service and Redwood Parks Conservancy have joined forces to safeguard the grove and adjoining forest by creating safe visitor access that will protect this sensitive habitat.

Please contact Jackie Perkins at JPerkins@savetheredwoods.org or (925) 915-1332 for more information or to make your reservation.

All dates listed above are subject to change based on emerging conditions.

Save the Redwoods League hopes to offer post-fire hikes at Big Basin Redwoods State Park as soon as it is safe to do so.

Sincerely yours,
