We are so thrilled to welcome 96 new Evergreen members to the League. Evergreen members make a small monthly commitment to our redwoods so we can act quickly to acquire new properties when they become available. Thanks to our generous and passionate Board of Directors member Andy Vought, all gifts have been doubled in value with his matching gift. Thanks to Andy and the new Evergreen members, we will now have twice the resources to further our work of protecting and restoring our redwood forests and connecting people with their peace and beauty.
Now that the sun is setting earlier, it’s a great time to experience the sights and sounds of the redwood forest after dark. Not a night owl? Celebrate fall with a bird watching walk or a trip to an autumn festival. Check out a sample of fall fun throughout the redwood regions.
Congratulations to Muir Woods National Monument on its 110th anniversary January 9! This magnificent place near San Francisco is often where visitors from California and throughout the world see the coast redwood forest for the first time. Over a million tourists from across the globe stream into this treasured forest for a walk among its breathtaking redwoods each year. As you may have heard, starting on January 16, parking and shuttle reservations will be required.
