Legislation would commit California to more prescribed and cultural burning
Last year’s fires were a stark reminder that more needs to be done to prepare our forests for wildfire. Assembly Bill 642 would further expand the use of prescribed burning, in part by growing and incorporating cultural burning by tribal communities. The League supports this important legislation.
