To ensure your donation is counted for the current tax year:

  • Online donations (via credit card or direct debit) must be completed by 11:59 PM (your local time) on December 31.
  • Credit card donations sent by mail must be processed by December 31—note that we must receive and process the gift by that date for it to count.
  • Mailed checks or cash donations must be postmarked by December 31 or earlier, regardless of when they are received.

We recommend mailing your gift early. When in doubt, online giving is the most reliable way to ensure your donation is counted in time.

Online Forms

What is the “FastAction” option on your advocacy and donation forms?

FastAction is a service of the EveryAction network that allows you to securely store your contact information for future use on other forms. Save the Redwoods League uses EveryAction for our online forms. For more information, please visit FastAction’s privacy policy.

Is FastAction required?

No. To decline saving your information to FastAction, make sure the checkbox for “Remember me so that I can use FastAction next time” is NOT checked before you submit the form.

I opted-in to FastAction. How do I log out of FastAction?

If you no longer need FastAction to automatically fill in your information, click on the FastAction icon on any of our contribution forms and edit your FastAction profile from there.

Why do I need to add a prefix to my name when filling out an advocacy form? I prefer not to use one.

When sending advocacy-related messages to your representatives, many elected officials require that your letters use one of their designated prefixes. When Save The Redwoods League sends an action alert, forms may require prefixes if they are delivering letters to state or federal mail systems. If your letter does not include a prefix, it will not be accepted by the elected officials.

Why are phone numbers required on some action forms?

When the contact forms for elected officials or agencies include a requirement that your letter has a phone number, our action forms must ask for your phone number.
