Alanna Smith

Parks Program Associate

Alanna Smith has more than 10 years of experience working with the public in national and privately managed parks. As Parks Program Associate, Smith introduces public access to Save the Redwoods League’s properties and grows the organization’s portfolio of parks and public engagement programs.

Smith manages inquiries and access to the Harold Richardson Redwoods Reserve, Alder Creek, and other Save the Redwoods’ properties. Prior to her work at Save the Redwoods, Smith served as the Presidio Education Program Manager and as a Park Ranger for the National Park Service. She developed Tribal and community programs at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Smith is working toward earning an M.A. in Geography with a concentration in Resource Management and Environmental Planning from San Francisco State University. She holds a B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Environmental Science and Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
