Going to school is what she does best, so after a successful career as a tax attorney she returned to school and earned a Ph.D. in Italian Studies from UC Berkeley. From 1995 through 2006 she was the Resident Scholar at the Museo ItaloAmericano at Fort Mason, teaching Italian literature and lecturing on Italian literature, history, and culture. An enthusiastic supporter of public education, Lisa served for many years on the board of the San Francisco Education Fund, including two terms as board president.
Lisa has been a Councilor since 2023, bringing her nonprofit board experience to her service on both the Development and Governance Committees. She is also delighted to have contributed photographs of the redwoods for use by Save the Redwoods League.
