Evening at Muir Woods

June 6, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Come experience twilight among the redwoods. Join Marin County Parks Naturalist Shannon Burke and National Park Service Ranger Mia Monroe in this special after-hours stroll through the ancient forest of Muir Woods. We’ll listen to the dusk chorus and hope that a spotted owl might distinctively “bark”. Late spring flowers may still be in bloom and we’ll see what else is in the shadows.

There is no fee for this program but please RSVP (external link) to get special instructions to be in the park after-hours! This program is part of the One Tam collaborative, a partnership that recognizes the various agencies that work together to preserve and restore the lands that surround Mount Tamalpais. Remember to bring binoculars, if you have them. This walk is for ages 18 and up. We request that no pets (except service animals) attend.

Registration is required: http://ggnpc.convio.net/site/Calendar?id=118542&view=Detail (external link)
