Councilors are the League’s volunteer leaders who act as our primary ambassadors and supporters. Councilors are the legal, voting members of the organization who recruit and elect their own membership and elect the League’s Board of Directors.
Councilors reflect a wide array of individuals who are passionate about, and committed to, the redwoods, and the League’s mission and vision for the future of the redwood forest. Many apply specific skills and expertise to League committees or task forces.
The League’s Board of Directors is a group of volunteer leaders who bring a variety of talents, experiences and expertise. The Board sets policy, elects officers, and approves the budget and all land purchases.
