Native Plants and Trees Identification Loch Walk

City of Santa Cruz Water Department botanist Andy Werner and forester Steve Butler (aka “Slim”) will lead a free short interpretive hike on Newell Creek watershed property around Loch Lomond Recreation area. On this walk they will be focusing on native tree and plant identification, forest succession dynamics, invasive weed management and other related topics associated with redwood forests.

Where: Loch Lomond Recreation Area

Meet: Glen Corrie Picnic area

When: April 28, 2018; 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Bring: wear layers, and good shoes for hiking
