Sempervirens Fund: Rose Property Volunteer Workday

FreeHelp Remove Non-native Plants and Enjoy Lunch by a Scenic Creek! Volunteer with Sempervirens Fund.
When: Saturday, May 11, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Sempervirens Fund’s Rose Property. Approximately 1 hour east of Greyhound Rock County Park. Meet at the county park parking lot and we will carpool to the property.
What: Located along the southern edge of Big Basin Redwoods State Park, this property contains Redwood Forests with a tributary flowing through. Work will involve removing tall stands of French broom.

Activities: Participants will pull invasive weeds by hand or using basic hand tools. Work will be moderately strenuous and may take place on sloped and uneven terrain. All tools, gloves, and gear will be provided by Sempervirens Fund, but if you have your own equipment we suggest bringing it along. We recommend wearing long-sleeved shirts, pants, and durable hiking shoes. Please bring your own lunch and plenty of water. Some snacks and beverages will be provided.
