Self-guided Hike Signup

Thank you for your interest in visiting Harold Richardson Redwoods Reserve! We are now offering self-guided access to the Reserve on select days. New available dates will be released monthly. After your reservation request is submitted, you will receive an email with a link to review and sign liability waivers, along with additional details for your visit. Key Planning Information

  • Long-term recreational access improvements have not yet been implemented; all visitors must remain on identified skid roads and preliminary trails for personal safety and respect of the forest.
  • There is no potable water on-site—please bring your own sufficient supply of water.
  • There is one portable toilet on-site, located nearly one mile down the trail.
  • Please park on the grass or in the turnout outside the green entrance gate.
  • All visitors will be expected to pack it in and pack it out.
  • There is no cellular phone reception onsite.
  • Dogs are not permitted.
  • Ticks, stinging insects and poison oak are present on site.
