Redwood Hike Series: Samuel P. Taylor State Park*
October 6
Save the Redwoods League and Humboldt State University lead the Redwoods and Climate Change Initiative (RCCI), a collaborative research program launched in 2009 to study past, present, and future impacts of climate change on coast redwood and giant sequoia forests. Researchers installed 16 long-term forest monitoring plots in old-growth redwood forests to better understand how forests change through time. An RCCI expert will lead us on a hike at Samuel P. Taylor State Park, the location of a plot right here in the Bay Area.
Please contact Jackie Perkins at [email protected] or 415-820-5847 to make your reservation. Space is limited.
