Volunteer For National Public Lands Day

September 30 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm

Free

Join Kern River Conservancy for National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 30, 2017 as they enjoy a day in Sequoia National Forest.

Meet up is at 9:30 am at the large dirt turnout on the corner of R-Ranch and Mountain Highway 99.
Please look out for a pop up tent and banner. Do not enter R-Ranch Johnsondale as you will have passed it. Use the map on the website to navigate to the location.

Once all volunteers are checked in, they will make their way up Lloyds Meadow Rd to visit our Natural Slides, Peppermint Creek and the Swimming holes of Dry Meadow for post summer cleanup.
They encourage all participants to dress according to weather and terrain. Trail shoes or hiking boots are required.
Hats, sunscreen and maybe a jacket as higher elevation temps can be cooler. Bring a backpack and your canteen. Trash bags and pickers will be provided.

To sign up visit the website and fill out the form and waiver.
