Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving and at the League, we call it Giving TREESday. This day offers a tremendous opportunity to protect and restore redwood forests for generations to come. More than 800 people came together to blow away our goal of raising $50,000 for the Redwood Land Fund. Generous redwood lovers from all over the United States contributed, as well as friends in Germany, England, New Zealand, Thailand, Finland and Switzerland.

Each contribution to the Redwood Land Fund helps purchase redwood forests and the surrounding land needed to nurture them. The Redwood Land Fund also supports innovative scientific methods and technology that will accelerate the regeneration of redwood forests. Healthier forests mean a healthier planet – and we want future generations to experience these iconic landscapes we hold so dear.

Generous League members Bill and Jan Terry & Rob Dixon and Maricela Perdomo, tripled all Giving TREESday gifts to help support the Redwood Land Fund. Thank you to everyone who gave during Giving TREESday, we really appreciate your generosity.
