Sam Hodder led the League in permanently protecting over 20,000 acres of redwood lands. Guided League’s plan to accelerate forest conservation and regeneration of coast redwood and giant sequoia forests. Provided League’s focus on education programs and redwood park public access improvements.

Learn why the redwoods are so uniquely impressive, the history these forests have played in the conservation movement and how the redwoods are inspiring an effort to regenerate resilience and sustainability in our natural systems.

Sam will also talk about the recent Heyday Press publication of The Once and Future Forest, commemorating the League’s 100th anniversary.
