Voters said #YesOn68 for Clean Water & Safe Parks

On June 5, Californians passed Proposition 68, the Clean Water and Safe Parks Act, authorizing $4.1 billion in support of our state’s water, parks, and natural resources. With Prop 68 passed, the League and our partners will be able to improve existing redwood parks and reserves, like the historically logged forests within Redwood National and State Parks, making them more accessible and more resilient to drought, wildfire, and flood.

Inaugural Reading the Redwoods contest is in the books

Across 34 states, 880 children participated in the inaugural Reading the Redwoods contest, the first of its kind to encourage reading about these iconic national treasures. The free online contest ran for eight weeks and helped to foster a love for nature, forests, and especially redwoods.
