The Live Like Coco Foundation has partnered with Friends of the Santa Cruz State Parks, taking third-graders from Santa Cruz County on field trips to Nisene Marks to see redwoods, and banana slugs, firsthand.
Save the Redwoods League recently celebrated Board Member Peggy Light for her extraordinary generosity in inspiring 105 new legacy gift commitments in 2018 to commemorate the centennial of Save the Redwoods League. Peggy offered to match each new legacy gift commitment made in 2018 with a $1,000 gift, with a goal to encourage 100 people to join the Legacy Circle. We were thrilled to surpass our goal.
This year, Save the Redwoods League wants to help you make a resolution you can keep (in 20 minutes or less, for free). Everybody needs a legal will, but too many people put it off year after year. Make your will today, and include a gift to the League to ensure the protection of our redwood forests for generations far in the future.
We’re just over halfway through the year, and 2018 has already proven to be legendary for Save the Redwoods League. As you have probably heard, this year is the League’s 100th birthday, which has been a joyous cause for celebration! I am so glad that we were able to share our festivities and show our appreciation for members of the Redwood Legacy Circle, who have committed to the long-term protection of the redwoods by including the League in their estate plans.
