News that wildfire had destroyed most of the buildings and facilities at Big Basin Redwoods State Park created an outpouring of generosity over the past two weeks from donors looking to speed up the iconic park’s comeback.
Over 700 generous donors helped us cross the finish line to hit our Giving TREESday goal to raise $50,000. Those funds, matched by the Bently Foundation, will go directly to help purchase Alder Creek, the world’s last significant unprotected giant …
More than 1,400 members contributed to the League’s first crowdfunded grove in Peters Creek Old-Growth Forest, a League-owned property.
A thousand acres have already been restored as part of Redwoods Rising—a collaborative project to transform historically logged parkland into old, magnificent redwood forests once again. Please, make a gift now so we can keep working to restore the full 70,000 acres.
Thanks to more than 3,000 passionate League members, Save the Redwoods reached a major milestone to protect the ancient coast redwood Grove of Titans in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Our members donated over $500,000 by December 31, more than meeting the dollar-for-dollar match challenge by supporter Josie Merck. This means that over $1 million will go toward the $3.5 million goal to safeguard these majestic redwoods and provide safe visitor access.
#GivingTREESday is a chance to see our community of redwoods supporters come together, and this year was no exception. Thanks to our dedicated members, we hit our $50,000 goal!
We want to make sure we give everyone a chance to be part of our first-ever crowdfunding effort, so we’ve extended our deadline to October 31! We’ve also replenished the supply of our most popular Centennial thank-you gifts.
We’re doing something new and exciting in honor of our Centennial: inviting individual supporters to join together to permanently dedicate the Members Centennial Grove 2018 in Peters Creek Old-Growth Forest. And, I need your help.
To help protect the marvelous redwood forests, there are many ways to give. But did you know that we accept car donations? Through CARS, our trusted partner, anyone can easily donate a vehicle. It doesn’t matter whether your vehicle — be it a car, truck, van, boat or motorcycle — is in good shape or not. Proceeds will go towards supporting our urgent work to protect and restore redwoods.
