I first visited Sequoia National Park when I was 5. My parents took me there every year and it is my magic place. It nourishes my soul. I am now 80 and have not been there for 20 years. I miss it so. I want to go back at least once before I die.

Your comment resonates with me because I first visited Sequoia National Park when I was nine and I fell in love with the giant trees, a love that has never diminished over time and I am older than you! When I am in a redwood gove, I give thanks to being born.

My feelings about the giant trees are very similar. Having visited before I was in my teens, I remember it a great deal of awe and fondness. At 81 I still have a hope of being there one more time – however living east of the Missouri River – it seems like a wistful dream. One comment about trees nourishing the soul, to me is so true. We have large oaks around our house and it makes me sad that the changing climate is giving them a new – oak blight – to deal with. Dead leaves remain all winter and when rained on, splatter the blight onto the new leaves. Climate change hurts so many thing.

Love your videos! They bring back wonderful childhood memories of camping in the Santa Cruz mountains and the Sierras. There is nothing comparable to being amongst Redwoods ❤️

I loved watching the redwood video. Sequoia National Park is my favorite place in all the world and the coastal redwoods are amazingly beautiful. When I die my spirit will live there for ever.

David Hilowitz’s music ruined the video for me.Why have something so clownish and at odds with the beauty and majesty of the redwoods? Much better on mute.
