Videos, Films Support State Parks Facing Closure

Keep up on the effort to save nearly 70 California State Parks, including redwood parks, from closure by watching these recently created videos and movies. Event Honors Naturalist, History of Big Sur Parcel

A celebration this month commemorated the late naturalist Jeff Norman (pictured) and his commitment to protecting Big Sur. His property was safeguarded when it was sold to Save the Redwoods League.


League Honored: Cal State Parks Grants Award for Partnership

on

California State Parks (CSP) honored Save the Redwoods League on May 19, 2010, with its prestigious Dewitt Award for Partnership, which recognizes commitment above and beyond the call of duty in protecting public lands over a substantial time period. CSP presents this award to those who have served as irreplaceable partners in the accomplishment of its mission.


40 Acres of Redwoods Purchased in Big Sur

Thanks to our generous members, Save the Redwoods League on April 15, 2010, bought a never-harvested 40-acre redwood property in a steep canyon surrounded by Los Padres National Forest.
