You can stand for the redwoods by covering the Internet with these amazing trees in October. We’re calling all people and organizations to join us in sharing the redwoods in enewsletters, blog posts, Facebook, and other social media. Organizations across the country are ready for the figurative fireworks show of the League’s Centennial. This is going to be big and fun!

What do we mean by covering the Internet? Our goal is to get #Stand4Redwoods trending on Twitter, pictures of redwoods in everyone’s Instagram feeds, and posts all over Facebook about redwoods using our redwood Facebook frame. We want inboxes full of redwoods in enewsletters and blogs that invite everyone to stand for these iconic trees. Save the Redwoods will be liking, commenting, following, and engaging to spread your words and images.

Here’s how you can participate:

Individuals and Organizations

Participate in a Hashtag Party! People around the country will use #Stand4Redwoods on Instagram and Twitter on these days:

  • 9-10 a.m. PST, Wednesday, October 3
  • 3-4 p.m. PST, Sunday, October 7
  • 1-2 p.m. PST, Thursday, October 11
  • 1-2 p.m. PST, Saturday, October 13

Share the redwoods in enewsletters, blog posts, Facebook, and other social media. Use the hashtag #Stand4Redwoods.

Organizations

Host an event or coordinate an activity in, near, or about redwoods. Check out this toolkit with all kinds of ideas. If you have an event, add it to our Event Calendar with this form.
